| BUILDING PROGRAM INTRODUCTION |
The history of Our Lady of the Snows Parish dates back to 1914 when
the first Mass was celebrated in the area. In 1922, the first church
was built as a mission of Susanville, and a Catholic community was
established in the Almanor Basin. Since that time we have seen much
change in our community. Yet one thing remains the same: our
commitment to Christ, to one another and to the betterment of our
Catholic and local communities.
To fulfill our promise as a parish community and meet the needs of
tomorrow as well as today, we need to address some serious
shortcomings with our parish facilities immediately.
