Our Campaign
To address our needs and plans we are initiating an intensive fund raising effort
titled the “Uniting in Faith, Building One Family” Campaign. Our aim with this
important effort is, initially, to raise the funds needed to grade and build access
roads to our new Peninsula property, and to construct an open-air Pavilion with
ample off-street parking on this new, centrally located and donated site. This
campaign will also focus on a rectory with offices as well as temporary meeting
facilities.
Our minimum goal for this important initial effort is to raise $500,000 which will
enable us to complete all site preparation work, the open-air Pavilion and
planned parking. If achieved, the Bishop has agreed to contribute toward our
project an outright gift of $250,000 from the diocesan “New Parishes” fund. This
essentially will enable us to provide permanent or temporary meeting facilities
and provide a suitable residence and offices for the priest, and do so with little
or no debt. This generous help from the diocese and our Bishop will serve as a
challenge and incentive to all of us to achieve our minimum goal. And anything
raised over and above these sums will be invested and applied to planned future
project phases.
